The Karoo® Travel Tripod Kit 401 is manufactured from high quality aluminium alloy – making it light at 2.15kg but durable, as well as stable in use with an impressive load capacity of 10kg.

I originally bought this tripod over 5 years ago and have used it for everything. I use it with the 90 degree feature for photographing medium format negatives and with the shorter, lighter column for (often muddy) woodland. I recently had a problem with the plastic bushes inside one leg and these were sourced direct from Kenro with no fuss. I didn't even realise it was still in warranty. I saw there was a steep discount on a new one so took that option as well. So now I have a new one for home / macro and the original for use in the field. I like the weight and flexibility. The ball head still works well.

I've been looking to buy a travel tripod tho use with my Canon 5D Mk IV for some time but couldn't justify the expense of a top of the range make. This one had excellent reviews so l decided to take the plunge before my summer holiday. Arrived very well packed and on time. Instruction book is a bit basic but that didn't prevent me from quickly getting set up and exploring what the tripod can do. Very flexible and the ability to change the centre column to a horizontal position (like my full sized Manfrotto) is a real bonus and was the deciding factor when making my choice. Looking forward to a full field test this summer.
